However, I've learnt about a different site, offering a different way, and Boom25 certainly is exciting and may just help you along your path to riches. If you're a gambler and like to take a risk then Boom25 might work perfectly for you, as you could win back the whole cost of the purchase you've made. So if you're spending around £2,500 like I did with Oak Furniture Superstore a while back, you could literally win every penny of that back, just by going via the Boom25 site.
That sounds pretty great doesn't it? And I suspect you might be wondering what the catch is, but there isn't one. To open an account with Boom25 costs you nothing, you only have to give them minimal information and they will never charge you anything, ever. The only risk you take is not getting the traditional 1-10% back from a regular cashback site. So for example with my £2,500 purchase, if I got the 1% cashback, I could have made £25 but if I went via Boom25, I have a 1 in 25 chance of my whole purchase cost being won and paid back to me. Of course that means I also have a chance of getting nothing, but that is the excitement and where the name comes from - it's boom or bust!
I must say I was wondering how it works and if I only have a 1 in 25 chance of winning, does that mean I have to make 25 purchases to be eligible or to potentially win my money back? Here's what Boom25 have to say on how it all works -
There’s no magic formula in Boom25. We just use some cool technology to count purchases in order to offer you the greatest possible chance of winning money back just for shopping. No matter what you buy, whether it's a pair of shoes, a designer shirt, some chic sunglasses, the latest smartphone, a new laptop or even furniture for your home. Every 25th approved purchase via Boom25 is refunded, not with points or vouchers, but with cash paid to your PayPal account. You don’t need to make 25 purchases to win. Every 25th approved purchase on Boom25 wins!I'm not even a big risk taker but I have to admit that I want to use Boom25. Of course I need to be sensible and only spend on items that I would have been buying anyway, that way I have nothing to lose. Boom25 is really easy to use, I just search for the store I want to shop with, click on the link for that store and make sure I have cookies enabled so my purchase can be tracked. Then I sit back and wait for the retailer to confirm to Boom25 that I made a genuine (eligible) purchase and see if I'm the lucky winner who'll receive my full cost back and this won't have any additional cost me anything - not money, nor time, nor effort!
I was also pleased to see that there are regular deals too. For example at the moment if I shop with The Book People (which I often do) I'll have a 1 in 10 chance of being the lucky winner and there are bonuses available too. I got a 50p bonus when I signed up and each time I shop, but don't win my purchase cost back, I'll have a 50p bonus added to my account and these can then be paid out once I do have a win and receive the cost of my purchase back. The money soon adds up!
There are currently 871 retailers on Boom25 who you can shop with and just look at the stats below, the largest single win was over £4,200 and the total winnings paid out to Boom25 customers is in excess of £590K, that is pretty amazing!
You'll earn a £3 bonus each time you refer someone and they make a successful purchase via Boom25 and once you win, you can request the payout (of your winnings and any bonuses that you have collated) to your paypal account, where you'll receive the money within 21 days. Of course if you use cashback sites already you'll know that not everything is instant, Boom25 can only be as quick as the retailer gives them the information, so there will be some delays on hearing whether you're a winner and being able to request that money. But let's be honest it is all money for nothing, so what does it matter?
It all sounds great, doesn't it? But you don't have to just believe me that Boom25 is an exciting new way to get your cashback, you can check out the reviews on Trustpilot left by 751 users and you'll see they have an excellent rating, and some very happy customers who've won a tidy sum back.
I'm definitely going to give it a go, what about you?
This sounds like a fun way to make some extra money, thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteA pleasure Jenny, I was pleased to learn about something different.
DeleteSuch a wonderful idea and a great way to help people to encourage to shop via the site too
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit of a genius idea, I'd never have thought of it!
DeleteThis sounds really cool, good for midrange purchases! If I was making a huge purchase, like your furniture, I probably would stick to that 1% (because I am a chicken!) but if it was say £100 or something then this sounds like a fun thing to do on the off chance!
ReplyDeleteYes, you have to choose where your level of risk is and what you fancy doing to suit you.
DeleteSounds like an interesting way to earn extra money. I’ll have to take a closer look!
ReplyDeleteYes, have a peek and see if you get lucky.
